Tottenham will bid for Newcastle United keeper
Tim Krul but are prepared to wait and make their
move in the summer.
Chelsea and QPR are also known to be among
the Dutch goalkeeper’s admirers but Tottenham
hope the 23-year-old will opt to join them once
they agree a fee with Newcastle.

The North East club value Krul at £15million but
that won’t deter Tottenham as they look to shape
a side that can challenge for the Premier League
on a consistent basis.
Krul is chasing better terms at Newcastle after
excelling this season and Tottenham will be
willing to double his salary.
Although Brad Friedel has had a steadying
influence on their defence, Heurelho Gomes is
expected to move on in this window.
As an interim measure Spurs have made an
approach to sign Real Valladolid goalkeeper Jaime
Jimenez, 31.
Meanwhile, Stockport goalkeeper Ian Ormson,
17, has started a week’s trial at White Hart Lane.
